Global tech firm puts executives on the streets to directly engage with drivers and passengers in Karachi and Islamabad
Karachi / Islamabad — Yango Pakistan, a part of the international Yango Group, has officially launched its groundbreaking “Go to the Fields” initiative in Pakistan — setting a new benchmark for how ride-hailing services engage with communities and improve user experiences.
This marks the first time such a program has been implemented in Pakistan, with company executives stepping into the shoes of partner drivers and passengers to gain firsthand insights.
Leadership Joins the Frontlines
The initiative kicked off in Karachi and Islamabad, where senior leadership from Yango Pakistan spent an entire day riding alongside partner drivers. This immersive experience aimed to observe daily operations, understand pain points, and collect real-time feedback from both drivers and passengers.
“This initiative is about transparency and accountability — seeing the journey through the eyes of those who live it daily,” said Miral Sharif, Country Head at Yango Pakistan.
“It supports our customer-first philosophy and reflects our long-term commitment to Pakistan’s mobility sector.”
Transforming Feedback into Action
“Go to the Fields” is not just a symbolic gesture — it’s a strategic framework designed to transform ground-level insights into practical service improvements. Key objectives of the program include:
-
Elevating service quality
-
Strengthening passenger and driver safety
-
Aligning services more closely with local mobility needs
The feedback gathered will directly influence platform updates, policies, and training — ensuring that Pakistan’s evolving urban transport needs are met with smart, reliable, and user-centric solutions.
A Global Culture of Engagement
Originating as a global initiative, “Go to the Fields” is deeply embedded in Yango’s corporate culture. Around the world, Yango executives and employees take on roles such as drivers, couriers, and support agents to bridge the gap between strategy and real-world service delivery.
This hands-on model promotes a unique culture of responsiveness, empathy, and innovation across Yango’s international operations.
Next Stops: Lahore, Multan & Beyond
With a population exceeding 251 million and nearly 100 million urban dwellers, Pakistan’s demand for safe, efficient mobility continues to grow.
Following its successful debut in Karachi and Islamabad, Yango plans to roll out the “Go to the Fields” initiative in Lahore, Multan, and other major cities — further embedding itself into the country’s mobility landscape.
